All the Sad Young Men

Top- River Island
Dress- Topshop
Socks- Topshop
Nikes- Littlewoods
Choker- Topshop

It's confirmed, even though I had an unconditional offer for Fashion Communication at Northumbria University I am now officially a student there. I'll be starting in less than a month and I hope that this time goes better than the last at university and that I've found the course for me. I'll be staying at home this year though so I can still enjoy my home comforts.
Last week I met a group of my girls that are on the course, we've been chatting for quite a while already so it was great to actually meet them and go for a night out and we had the best time! So I can't wait to see them all again in September.

Still deciding on whether or not these trainers are adding a hint of chav to every outfit I wear them with or if it's adding a cool 90's kick to them haha! Either way I love them and they are so comfortable so I'll just keep wearing them. I'm finding more ways to wear my bardot tops now, especially this one by layering things over it so it makes for a good transitional piece into Autumn.

A knife in the Ocean

 Top- River Island
Jeans- Topshop (Jamie)
New Balance- Asos
Rings- gifts, H&M, eBay
Necklace- eBay

It's going to be a very busy summer like I said with having two jobs but it'll be great to get some money into my Mulberry fund so I can eventually buy one of those beauties with money I've earned which is something I've always wanted to do and it feels like it's actually going to happen which is so exciting!

How cute is this top? I got it in River Island, it's so lovely but of course it went in the sale after I bought it, which is the story of my life, everything I've bought in River Island recently has gone in the sale. For a while though I have no time to go shopping, I'll have some sort of withdrawal symptoms soon but at least it'll save me some money!

20 / 20

Right now I love being able to throw a pair of trainers on with anything and make an outfit look a little cooler, 'normcore' has become increasingly popular as a trend recently and I love it! I love that we're wearing comfortable and casual shoes with smarter clothes and that it's acceptable, I'm becoming more and more of a trainer girl at the minute, it's great to try something new and see what works well with them. You can see my normcore board on Pinterest here

Two Steps, Twice

Top- New Look
Skirt- Topshop
Shoes- Topshop
Necklace- Gift
Rings- gifts, Topshop, H&M, eBay

This skirt is amazing! As you know I'm not much of a skirt girl which is why I've been hesitant on every visit to Topshop recently when I've walked past it but I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try and I just had to have it there and then! I went down a size because it is a little big on the waist but other than that it's great. Since it's a midi skirt I feel more comfortable in it than I would a shorter skirt but it really is well worth trying and maybe taking a few tops in the changing room to try with it if you're unsure.

I have some good news as well! I recently got a new job, I'm now employed by Smiggle, it's an Australian stationary shop that's opening stores in the UK if you've not heard of it, I start next week and I can't wait. Since it's a brand new store we all get to go in and set up the store before it opens for a few days so it should be exciting getting to know who I'm working with and I can't wait to try something new. I will be keeping my job in Clarks and working the two and seeing how it goes. I'll be Busy Earnin' as Jungle would say haha! Hope you all have a nice summer and I'll try my very best to keep my blog updated.
